Identifying implants

There are several ways to identify implants.

When you received your implants, stickers from the

packaging were supposed to be placed on your record

that the surgical center, or doctor holds. Your doctor

should have recorded the brand and weight in your

records too.

Some implants have numbers, or other identifying marks

on them. And, if all else fails, there are doctors,

like Dr. Blais who can identify implants after

removal.

If you haven't been explanted yet, NEVER allow the

plastic surgeon to keep your implants, or to send them

back to the manfacturer if you have ANY plans to take

further action. If you plan to sue, taking the

implants into your personal custody will ruin them for

evidence.
