Dearest Friends:

I'm not dead yet: This note is old; however, my really thought that I

would die. He has been through hell because of my breast implant disaster.

As most of you know I had another Silicone Fluid Induced Pulmonary Embolism

last year. My pulmonary specialist has me on blood thinners for the rest of

my life. This condition is called Sticky Blood Syndrome and many women who

have had silicone ruptures have this condition. I now have all of the right

specialists who believe that my problems were caused by the silicone. I have

given them the peer reviewed articles. When the ambulance came, the fire

department came too. They went through my research and took the peer

reviewed article on Silicone Fluid Induced Pulmonary Embolisms. They were

fit to be tied. At that time we did not know that I had blood clots in both

lungs, a V-Q scan showed positive at the ER.

Love you all....Lea

Re: Information request... from Lea's

husband,

Hi, I recently (2 month ago) was in the hospital with

a possible " congestive heart failure " , they said my

potassium was low and said it would cause problems,

plus they gave me " water pills " to get rid of the

fluid. After extensive tests they decided my heart was

fine, another way to increase the hospital bottom

line? Unfortunately, I don't trust anyone anymore.

Best of luck.

Pat

Dearest Ilena:

I'm becoming concerned about Lea lately. She has

become quite despondent since she found out that she

has an enlargement of her heart on the right side. She

has many of the symptoms of congestive heart failure,

and this is frightening her. She watched my mother die

of this as well, which brings it closer to home. When

I consider Lea's other symptoms, it really does become

alarming: low blood gases, shortness of breath,

chronic fatigue, two pulmonary emboli, coughing and

wheezing, mitral valve prolapse/PAT, and GERD, among

others. Lea has an appointment to see a pulmonary

specialist at the end of April...a nine-week wait! I'm

wondering if she should be seeing a cardiologist

instead, and whether or not we should ask for this?

Why would Lea have all these problems? She's never

smoked; my mother smoked for 50+ years. Is congestive

heart failure another problem that is being triggered

by silicone? Have any of the other women been

diagnosed with an enlarged heart after silicone

implants? Can anybody shed any light on this

connection? Any feedback would be most welcome.

With sincere thanks.

Hi Friends,

So far my heart is okay. I've been diagnosed with heart palpitations,

but always dismissed by the doctors as me over exerting myself during

excercise. The odd thing was that I was actually the least active I

have ever been when I had the rare experience. The one thing that I

noticed within these messages is the comment on low potassium. I

always have low potassium. I'm not on a supplement yet, but the

doctors are considering it. Get this, my postassium changes so

dramatically within a month they don't know how much to supplement me

with...so they are doing test for 6 months and then are going to

average? I have no idea. I just thought it was interesting. I have

textured saline implants, but one has had a fold for the last 6 years.

Anyway, just wanted to share that.
