Guest guest
Patty, you can ask for starters an antigliadon antibody test, if that comes up positive ,it means your body is making antibodies to gluten, and you at least know that you have an immune reaction and at the very least-an intolerance to it. (although thats not enough for most docs, they then want an invasive expensive biopsy-but the more recent naturapths and other internests think its a sign to def stay away) More specific to celiac, the transglutaminase Iga is more clear for tissue damage due to gluten reaction . However, I am IGA defeceint, meaning some people do not make IGA antibodies, so I needed further testing. Most people will show something on either of these two tests if gluten intolerant or have full blown celiac disease. And the book "dangerous Grains" is an exceptional book, esp with a chapter on how Hashimoto's is linked as one of the most triggered disease from gluten) Remember, I also did the bowel testing, very integretive! Its great-for showing the earlier signs of damage to the gut and also immune reactions in the gut, and bowels, before some show it in thier blood years later. It was about 250.00 for three tests, but insurancce reimbursed me 90%. The company was www. It showed Tylers reaction so much more than in his blood, as this is where it starts, the gut is the biggest immune organ there is, that the gastro did not need a biopsy to rule it in with these bowels tests results and and also the blood. I had minimal stomach damage, but more immune markers, and reaction, while Tyler respresented alot of gastro issues and damage. (not to mention moodiness and ezcema, which is gone, gone , gone) Knowing what i know, If I had an auto immnue disease ( esp diabetes, thyroid and RA) and or skin or respatory allergies, stomach problems, or female problems, I would get it tested just to rule it out. 97% of Americans are undiagnosed. Not to say all these people have it, but just to rule it out. It has been a major step in my regained health. I felt awesome, PAtty. Realy. I am glad to hear you are as well. How is businesss and family? I am getting close, but PAtty it is another boy. Sorry, if I sound spolied, Im excited to meet him and know I will love him to death, but I wanted a girl so badly. I am from 3 sisters and didnt know what to do with Tyler. I always envisioned have girls. I know God knows what he is doing, but is was so in my heart to have a girl and be done! Now, Im afraid, if I try again, I'll have a team of boys! Anyway, fill me in. >From: "glory2glory1401" <glory2glory1401@...> >Reply- > >Subject: Re: if you have thyroid antibodies, read >Date: Thu, 28 Apr 2005 04:04:28 -0000 > >Thanks ! Guest guest
Kathy, I know, its a shocker to me, another boy, but Im ok with it! I cant wait to meet him. God really is the one that knows whats best.... I have 8 weeks to go. Time flies, doesnt it? The c-section is planned for July 8th! Ill be home just in time for my son Tylers 5th b-day, which is the 11th!Whoooo, close birthdays! I was almost scheduled for July 11th, but had to talk him out of that. Cant have both sons on one day, Tyler would be a little envious! Feeling good, gained only 7 pounds so far, not dieting at all, just burning it up I guess. My thyroid meds have been lowered too! My ob-gyn told me on Monday, I'm one of his healthiest patients and cant believe that I have auto immnue illlness! My insulin test and blood work came in with flying colors, no stretch marks, perfect blood pressure, and really, I feel great and have a healthy glow back again. Its a long way I feel I have come to hear the words, "one of the healthiest patients" out of a docs mouth, when two years ago, I had nothing but problems and poor diagnosis. I know the body can act up after pregnacy but have my thyroid specialist waiting and ready to see me every 4 weeks and assess my hormones each time. So I feel confident. I also feel so different since the removal of gluten and think that actually, Ill continue to feel good. I was before the pregnacy and attribute this healthy pregnancy to my diet. You are right, God must think I am so good at mothering boys, so Ill run with it! I love my little guy to death! He tells me every day someday he will marry me, he loves me so, and my husband will turn into a bunny! I think my hubby wanted a girl, daddie's girl, more than I! But said something very sweet the other day. That I will be the only princess in the house. AW! I don't think Ill be having any more, I get concerned about all the surgeries on my body. Dont want to push it. And another c-section, after this one? I had a total of 4 surgeries already! No thanks. But Ill take you up on thr granddaughter thing. How have you been doing? Are you still doing the diet? I found the best bread ever the other day and even frozen pizza crusts for Tyler! MMMMMM Love julie > From: "mikat828" <mikat828@...> >Reply- > >Subject: Re: if you have thyroid antibodies, read >Date: Thu, 28 Apr 2005 20:51:31 -0000 > > >So you are having another boy?!? Guest guest
, When the day comes that you have wonderful daughter-in-laws, you'll have your daughters too! They are every bit the joy my own children are. Love, Rogene
