Guest guest
Hi there, I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's in August 2002, so I can give you some hope that things get better, (at least they did for me.) In fact I feel so good these days that I rarely even remember to take my thyroid meds. I wish I could give you some solid data on the numbers, (I know can....she had an astounding drop from 12,000 to 70!)but I don't know what my numbers are, because I haven't gone back to the doctor --I don't ever feel the need to. On the last test I have, dated 12/2003, my anti-TPO antibodies were still elevated at 70. But I've improved greatly since then, and I am pretty sure it is due to my diet and detoxing. I have tons of energy and feel great almost 100% of the time. (I only feel a little punky around my period, and even then not every month, only sporadically. And if I eat too much junk food, I can tell. I have to watch that sugar!) I have a lab request still sitting on my desk that was supposed to be taken in during the month of February, 2004! So it has probably been over a year and a half since I last saw my doctor to know what my antibodies are. Maybe I should go in just for the sake of having the data in my records... As for the hairloss, I am not sure what to tell you. I know many women have suffered from this symptom, and some see improvements while others do not. We have not been able to figure this one out. My own hair condition is fine now, but it is thin, but has always been on the thin side. For me, it is just one of those things that I have had to accept as part of my life. Hope this helps you! I think your Hashimoto's can improve alot if you look into your diet and doing some good detoxing, and taking care of yourself. ARe you on thyroid meds?
