Guest guest
I have finally visited the doctor for a new report and evaluation. My appointment was postponed twice (each postponement a month long!) even after it took me months to get it! I am so far behind on reading this list because my fatigue is overwhelming. At least the pain and length of episodes is shortened! I’ve prayed for lots of you, cried over some, and rejoiced with others, but not taken the time to write as I try to get through over 300 messages! My doctor's visit was -- as usual -- totally ambiguous! I've been having small liver 'episodes' ranging from a couple of hours up to all day, but none as awful as that weeks-long agony in the fall. So, the ultra-sound shows my liver to be in good shape " with no signs of cirrhosis. " Problem is, there's a biopsy on file at St. 's that says cirrhosis! Bizarre, right?! Isn’t the definitive diagnosis of cirrhosis the biopsy 'cause often all the tests aren't conclusive, but the biopsy supposedly IS conclusive?! So now they have to get all those hepatologists together for conferences and such. So I'm still nowhere. I really think my drinking herbal teas and eating more fresh fruits and vegetables is doing more good for me than anything the doctors or drugs can or will do!! The problem is that the fresh stuff is expensive! I guess I can start rationing! At least I also have an appointment for my eyes next month! That's a step ahead. AARRGGHH! All the doctors I've ever seen have told me my case is BIZARRE! So there. I'm unique. Don't try to catch me! You'll have to nique up on me!
