Guest guest
I prefer to think that old folks simply forget the trivial unimportant stuff and remember what's really important! I've read lately, however, that we all have our brains crowded with information we don't really need to remember! Reminds me that I need to get rid of our hefty twice-a-year phone books! Granddaughter suggested today that they simply take up too much room there by the phone (they're in a wall pocket) and they're unsightly besides! We can always go to the Internet for phone numbers. We very seldom use the books except to press flowers and such -- and sometimes for papier mache! THERE ARE ONLY TWO POSSIBLE FUTURES FOR THIS PLANET: A NON-NUCLEAR ONE, OR A CANCEROUS ONE Jan...learning Like many here, I started to learn when my husband came down with this disease. He has been out from his tranplant 4 1/2 years now. I continue to learn, but it isn't just on cirrhosis but other things also. I'm getting up in years and my mind slowly absorbs things...not like it did when I was younger. I like to think it is because the younger you are, the less memories and the less worries and the less information has been plugged into your head...so you have more room to fill up the space. As we get older, we have so many memories to look back on, so much useful and unnecessary information and the space that is taken up cannot be erased and I, personally, am running out of room. The older we are, the wiser we are suppose to be without any room for mistakes. How is that for being logical. I can make up all kinds of excuses for my forgetfulness ;-) I am thankful for so many blessing and having someone to talk with and discuss things with is one of them. Guest guest
Yesterday, while I was waiting to download some pictures from my daughter's visit with my mother, my computer burned up. Literally, smelled smoke and then heard a sizzle. I am hoping it is just the power source and I can replace it, but not sure how long before I get back running again, so if you don't see me here, that is why.
