Guest guest
My brother-in-law donated his body to the U of Michigan and they refused it. Cancer-ridden. I can only suppose that they wanted or were at the time in need of healthy bodies for whatever they were studying. Our homeschooling group had a wonderful tour through the University of Alabama anatomy lab (also serving as local morgue) and I was quite impressed! I learned more biology that day than ever before. We had opportunities to ask questions of all the workers there. The amount of respect shown the cadavers and the family members' wishes was commendable. I want to donate my body, but I'm ticklish. Old Organ Donation Hi. I was reading everyones posta about afterlife and such, My Grandmother when she died was 98 years old. was her name. She was a nurse all her life in Pgh. Sh donated her body to science when she passed. To the Univerity of Pgh. Medical School. I did not understand that at the time. My mother is doing the same thing. My mother is 85 now, and still kicking. I thought that was odd to do, but since Jeff's tp. I understand now. You don't need your body in th afterlife. But,you could help someone else down the road. My Mom knows that they could not use her organs, but science could use them to teach young Dr's on the anatomy and such. I think she knew along time ago what she wanted to do before her son in law got sick.
