Guest guest
Liz, It does sound like Fibromyalgia. If so, it's going to be a uphill struggle for a while. Taking medication is just a cover up. Things that help me are regular deep massage therapy. .. . .Painful, but blessed relief follows for and extended period. Moderate exercise . . . the idea is to keep moving, because the problems start when you stop moving. A good diet . . . no junk, no sugar, minimum refined grains, avoid processed foods. Eat fruits (in moderation) veggies and proteins. Deep sleep. Melatonin will do in a pinch, but don't take it long term. I use Temazapam - 15 mg. Doctors who understand FM don't mind prescribing it. Sleepy Time tea, hot baths, benedryl . . .anything that helps you relax so you can get deep sleep. Far infrared sauna is wonderful, if you have access to one. Supplementing with a good quality Calcium/Magnesium product. Detoxing . . . particularly the liver. Check out our " healing therapies " in the archives. Drinking plenty pure water - 1/2 ounce per pound of body weight per day. Stress and anger management .. . These two are killers for people with FM . . . Avoiding negative people helps a lot! Treating for systemic Candida/fungus. . . Most of us who have had implants have an ongoing problem with it. Raw, fresh, crushed garlic . . . absolutely the best natural food there is! Expect to see improvement in 24 hours! Oil of Oregano is very good. Probiotics . . .like Acidopholis, Fungal Defense and Primal Defense from Garden of Life. That's about all I can think of right now. . . The idea is learning how to manage it. . . I have learned to manage mine to the point I forget I have it, until I forget to follow part of my " program " . I'd suggest reading a book on FM so you can better understand what you're working with . . . Hugs and prayers, Rogene
