Guest guest
Ken, I have read everything ever written by Edgar Cayce. And get monthly mailings from A.R.E. I too " delve " into anything alternative, although I rely on traditional medicine because simply it gives me relief. But I have very forward(or backward, I guess as the case may be) thinking docs, who will also research alternative methods for me. My pain mgt doc and I trade herbal secrets..LOL! I did some homeopathic reading, and it intrigues me, but where would you get half of the substances they call for? Certainly not up here in the boonies!! By the way, do you do self-hypnosis? I have found that to be a wonderful release from pain for a short time anyway. You are a very interesting person, Ken. Guest guest
Dear Ken, I can remember my Grandfather giving us kids drops of turpentine on a spoon of sugar if we complained of a stomach ache. I recall actually LIKING the taste of it, or was it the buzz it produced?? I was looking up environmentally safe drain pipe cleaners a while back as a replacement for Liquid Plumber and such. Guess what I found which works great .....? Pour a few table spoons of baking soda down the drain and pour in a 1/2 cup of vinegar. After a few minutes, run the hot water for a while. Works like crazy ! You're grandma didn't make you drink hot water by any chance did she ? !! Mike
Guest guest
YES...yours too? For the life of me tho' I can't remember why.... I do remember the vinegar and baking soda thing tickling my nose as it bubbled like a chemistry experiment...But it helped indigestion! Guest guest
Hi Lyn, Haven't been able to get to list mail for 2 days. A web client needs hand holding. Homeopathic medicine has survived. There are several labs that still produce homeopathic remedies, and one I know about will even make things to order. Surprisingly, they are inexpensive too. They also offer training in homeopathy. Newton Laboratories, 612 Upland Trail., Conyers, GA 30207; Tel 800 448-7256. Luc Chaltin, an homeopath & nutritionist, has written a modern introduction, and has the Boerke Materia Medica With repertory reprinted and available inexpensively. The book contains literally thousands of treatments, and Chaltin's update also has a bunch of the more common current treatments. The Boerke book is $15. plus $5. shipping. They will send you (free) a description in plain English of their standard remedies and some other info. The cost of each remedy is about $8.. If your doc doesn't have the book, he might be quite interested in it. Ken At 08:19 PM 9/15/98 -0500, you wrote: > > Ken, I have read everything ever written by Edgar Cayce. Guest guest
Hi Di, Dunno about the buzz; had lots of turpentine around the house as a kid, stored in the basement where I played & later had a dark room. Did plenty of painting with my dad also. So I guess you could say I grew up " under the influence.
