Hi Sara

Filipendula and calendula sound fine, but I would add ulmus every evening,

matricaria and althea to the tea and think of psyllium seeds for their

soothing and bowel firming properties.

Dear Sara

Further to Sally's ideas, could add a bit of cinnamon bark powder to Ulmus.

Maybe more astringency could help - Myrica? It's good that she's having teas

to avoid getting dehydrated. I wonder about her bowel flora balance, could

probiotics help?

I imagine the irritation is partly due to bile salts so anything that could

sequester them would be worth a try.I have a vague memory about plant

mucilages like pectin being able to sequester bile salts among other things.
