All that this does is allow yahoogroups to convert non-HTML messages to

HTML. It does not prevent HTML messages from being recived.

no it does not. If the message is sent in HTML from the source it will

remain HTML upon receipt. The only thing this choice will do is allow

yahoogroups to change plain text messages to HTML (which also allows them to

add an add, since they can't insert banner ads into plain text messages).

MY personal computer is less than 1 yr old, Pentium 4 chip running windows

ME. I'm a member of 12 different mail lists and none of them allow messages

with all the additions. It is simply a matter of respect toward others to

not use it.

Hi ,

I used to have webtv and loved the fact that I could change the sigs on there and have all kinds of pretty backgrounds for my e-mails. I have really missed that so much since using my computer. I am downloading it right now as I am writing you. Thank you so much !

Hugs, Anneliese

I am sorry for all the controversary over the special effects post. All the clubs/groups I am in love it and many of the members got incredimail too because they enjoyed something refreshing.

How old are your computers? Most of us are 99 and up. Mine is 2000. I have never had to wait long for emails to download even with pics and attachments. The other day I had 189 emails.I did not see where it took any more time for a plain jane to download than a perky Pete.Maybe you all need to set something on your computers.

Anyhow, its going to be difficult remembering when to and not to use stationary here and the other person who did not want replies to include original messages....but I set that to do that automatically.

But if I accidentally sometimes include stationary I hope you can forgive me...unless you want me to remove myself from the list?

I know this is a serious type club but i am in other serious health groups and I myself and others find it refreshing to see happy uplifting things especially when the topics arent!

Just my .02.....(this is the most blah looking email I have sent.UGH!Its totally against who I am!!LOL!)

Hi Dusty Rose,

What you may think is 'Blah', is welcome to me...for every byte that is

'extra' goes to the 'wear and 'tear' of my computer, whih is a laptop

and somewhat limited compared to other computers. It's not just that

the graphic's take up time to download, but they do interfere with

reading the message.

Don't get me wrong, I love cute graphics as an artist as much as

anyone, but feel they have their place reserved for more special

occasions.

I will pay attention to who uses them and than just delete that mail

unopened.

That way it's easier to zip through my 300 or more letters I get a

day...

Dusty,

I get 300 or more letters a day and a mountain of unavoidable Pam mail,

even with many filters set -up to put them automatically into the trash

file.

Before I go through the mail, I delete anything from anyone I do not

know, etc,etc,

That still leaves me with well over 200 letter to read and some to

respond to.....

I'll be happy to answer you anytime, just flag your letter to me as

'highest priority', use no background or running graphics ( hard for me

to read) and put in the subject line 'C-M, help', you sure will get my

attention that way and a personal reply.

delete them? I guess that explains why a few of my questions have not been answered...one I was desperate for help with one night....oh well....at the point i did not know my graphics were offending...but an answer would still have been nice......

No, we don’t

want you to remove yourself from the group. I’m sure we will all forgive the occasional

slip.

I have DSL

service, now, and there is no appreciable difference in the time it takes to

download a plain text message and a fancy one. When I was on a dial-up line,

though there was a considerable difference.

I like to

see a few of the fancy messages, they brighten-up my day. I will admit that a

fancy background does, occasionally, obscure the text of the message.

I still

loved the animated ant.
