Guest guest
Hi ann, The reason got a second band was because she had to stop wearing the first one, due to a bacterial infection. She was out of the first one, more than she was in it. Out of the 2 months that she had the first band, she probably wore it 6 weeks. She wasn't anywhere near finished, so there really wasn't a " decision " that needed to be made. It was just something that was. I told Charlotte that when the time comes, if falls into that gray area, I want to do another band.I don't want to question myself, years down the road. isn't under a doctors care for her plagio. There aren't any doctors/specialist near me that know enough about plagio and bands. So when the time comes, it's going to be up to Charlotte and myself. Good luck making your decision. I'm sorry you're feeling so torn about it. > > > Hey Christi! > > > WooHoo... could graduation be near?? It is so good to her how her > > > ears are re-aligning! I'm not sure exactly when he will graduate...Charlotte had said 6 weeks about 4 weeks ago...but the last visit she didn't say anything about an exit casting..and we went last Thursday and Charlotte wasn't there... was...she was very nice. She said is doing really well and that she thinks he is close to the end. We have an appt with the cranial dr in i think 3 weeks..and then he will decide if he thinks that should stop or keep going. Last time he told us that 's head was measuring a little small (i think he's in the 25th percentile) and that if it's still measuring small at the next appt we will stop..b/c the helmet can be restricting his growth. But he was pleased with his results. 's head looks a lot better..it looks normal now..it's not compeletely rounded..but it is so much better i would be fine leaving it the way it is..although if Charlotte suggests to leave it longer..and it's safe..we will... I keep saying i want to send in pictures so you guys can see the before and now pictures...i really will..LOL... I'm glad to see Logan is just about done!!! > > > > For more plagio info
Guest guest
Thanks ann!! I think his head looks rounder than 's and Charlotte said that was it for him. I think got excellent correction. Of course, that is only my opinion and you have to be satisfied within yourself. But my opinion is that he looks great. ann/ NJ DOC grad 2 weeks ago

Guest guest
Thanks ann!! That's true...and is hardly on his back now...he is usually sitting up or cruising and now trying to walk (without holding on)....and he sleeps on his belly. Thanks!! What helped me was to think of ALLLLL the time he spent on his back that created the flat spot. He wasn't sitting, he wasn't on his tummy when he slept, he was constantly on his back. Now, I'm sure he is sitting and playing and maybe even pulling up?? He spends so much time off his head now compared to when the skull is at its softest. He would probably have to be on his back 24/7 now for him to regress (God forbid...). Hang in there and congrats !! ann/ NJ DOCgrad 1 month ago
Guest guest
ann, That is so nice..thank you. I have considered it..but i think i'm ok with 's head. I wanted Charlotte's opinion..and she gave me her honest opinion..and she said that although he has some residual flatteness..that he did get good correction and she feels he won't stand out at all....and also i do worry that his head didn't grow much the entire time he was in the helmet...and i would never want to do anything to prevent his brain from growing. I also asked Charlotte about this..and she basically explained the same thing Dr Hall did....so i think i'm not going to get another helmet...but thanks so much!!! I can recommend our original dr, eventhough he did not recommend a 2nd helmet. Although I am glad I went for a second opinion, I am very satisfied with Dr. Persing that he didn't hesitate to give me an rx for the 2nd helmet, where Dr. Hall would not. Dr. Persing is at Yale University in New Haven Connecticuit. It was a 3 hour drive for us from Flemington so it would be around 2 hours for you. ann/ NJ

Guest guest
, I don't think you have a poor education at all, you reflect much differently in what you have to say. Books do provide an education and not just books assigned you to read. Read everything you can that appeals to you and maybe just a couple you do not normally read and you may find a new subject added to your list of favorites to read. My suggestion is to stay away from the Book Clubs...they are almost as if they throw a net out to see who they can ensnare and by joining it is very easy to get into a vicious cycle of owing money and the books start coming rat a tat tat. I know, been there, done that over the years. I find probably a good 95% of my books at the GoodWill where they are usually marked no more than $2 for a hardcover or .25 for paperbacks. The GoodWill's in my area have a 50% off sale every two weeks on everything in the stores and I go down maybe once a month and buy up 15 or 20 books. They are all in excellent condition and I keep the ones I especially like and do not feel bad about passing on the others because they didn't cost that much. Also, here you can take them back (along with anything else you want to donate) and be given a 15% off coupon to be used at a later date. Keep up with your reading.....it is an education that will never end as long as you keep reading. Take care...lots of (((hugs))) and prayers. Remember the SMILES! Jan AZ (formerly of CA) =^..^= ~ " We all take different paths in life, but no matter where we go, we take a little of each other everywhere. Guest guest
I had a constant UTI infection (at least that's what it felt like) when I had my implants in & then it got worse after explant, I have never ever had a UTI infection before getting implants (I only had them in 6 months & became ill 2wks after getting them with weird symptoms) but Dr Leu said it could've been the chemicals/toxins from the implants coming out thru my urniary tract that was then causing an immflammation. Guest guest
I read one paper that said that implant women do pass silicone in their urine and that this peaks right after explant. . . . For anyone who has constant UTI's, it would help if they drank at least 1/2 ounce of water per pound of body weight per day. This would help dilute any irritants as they pass and should help with UTI's. Rogene
