Guest guest
Hi , Serzone is different than the Paxil, which is a SSRI (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor). That means it keeps the serotonin that you do have in your system active, longer. Serzone not only helps keep the serotonin more active but also norepinephrine, which has also shown to be helpful with depression, insomnia, pain perception and other things. The information I have tells me that Serzone is different from the SSRI drugs in chemical structure. 300 mg sounds like a lot to me for one dose compared to what I was taking. I took 150mg in the morning and another 150mg later in the day. I could not take it at night because it kept me awake. I also worked up to those dosages over about 7-8 week time period. My Dr. believes in working up to a dosage, of anything, fairly slowly. That agrees with me, that's for sure. I have some info on Serzone that I obtained from the drug database on the web that I use. If you would like it I can attach it to an email to you. I'd also ask your doctor about what your feeling, it could be an interaction of the medication you're taking for your diabetes with the Serzone...or it could be that the Serzone dosage is too high, too fast. Hope this helps!
