Guest guest
Hi All, I was wondering if any of you have ever heard of an Iridologist? (Spelling is probably wrong!) A friend of mine just told me about this. She has been seeing this lady for two years now. She recommends that I make an appt. with her for my hair loss. This is what she does, she takes a picture of your eye and supposedly that tells her what is going on inside your body. I'm sure there is more to it, but I think by the lines in your eyes you can tell what is going on inside your system? She has asked doctor's if they have heard of and iridologist and a few have and think nothing of it and others have not. She claims that she has healed so many people and the healing is done through homeopathic meds and if it is something she cannot treat (like cancer) she tells you what to have tested by your doctor. She has helped children with ADD and with Epileptic seizures. My girlfriend had skin cancer removed 3 times in one year and didn't tell this iridologist and she read it from her eye and told her where she had some lesions on her skin. She told her she wasn't producing new cells and to scrub her skin in the shower with a brush and she hasn't had any new skin cancer lesions since. She also told her that her thyroid was low and has been working with her on that. (by the way, she has implants too...low thyroid?) She gave me a few other examples, but can't remember them all. She told me to go and see her and NOT tell her that my hair is falling out or that I had surgery and she swears that she will find it! I know it sounds CRAZY but it almost seems worth checking into. She sent her husband to her for some medical issues and he thought she was a "quack". He is a total believer now and sees her on a regular basis as she has helped with his issues. It can't hurt! Just wondering if any of you have ever heard of this type of treatment? I think I am going to see her. Her visits are only $65.00 an hour and half and she is right around the corner from me. Who would have thought... Marie Re: did it!! Yippeee! Guest guest
Hi Marie, The whole arena of iridology was promoted by Dr. Bernard Jensen, a wonderful naturopathic physician who understood the need for a cleansed bowel for health. I looked into it at one point, but didn't find the science to fully back it up. However, some people have claimed that it has really helped them. I myself remained skeptical of its validity, but I hope you find that it works for you. Patty > Re: did it!!Hi All, > > I was wondering if any of you have ever heard of an Iridologist? Guest guest
Yes, I have and according to most doctors it is quackery. I don’t know how NDs feel about it. I had it done once and wasn’t impressed but the iridologist may not have been a good one. Anything is worth a try! Kenda Hi All, I was wondering if any of you have ever heard of an Iridologist? Guest guest
Yes, Marie, there is an iridologist in our region near Appalachia. This one is an Amish gentleman, and he does not charge anything. He does sell vitamins and supplements after the diagnosis, so I think it would be a great alternative medicine option if I ever needed one. It seems very non-invasive, and after all we've been through, there's not a professional out there that can pull the wool over our " eyes. " Hope to hear of your decision to visit or not, and your progress....Jackie
