Guest guest
Dear Margaret, I never welcomed you to the list, so I'll do that now! Welcome! I'm new as well, maybe just a week. I loved your description of kayaking. I could see the ocean and mountains. Gave me a peaceful feeling. I too, am a knitter. I love it! Usually I have different projects on the go at one time. Keeps me from getting bored with the same thing! It also will depend on what I'm doing at the time--mindless knitting when I'm watching a movie, counting when I'm listening to music or the like. Quite often I'll listen to books on tape while I'm knitting outside. I'm also learning how to spin. I bought a spinning wheel just after Christmas last year. I love it! I can hardly wait until I'm a good enough and have enough of my own fibre to use in my knitting. I'm on the knitlist and knitting lace list as well. I've gotten good tips from both. I still try to play golf--I love it and hate to give it up. It's a trade-off for me though. Usually I'll end up in bed for a few days afterwards. I've only been out 3 times so far, once for 2 holes, once for 5, and once in a tournament where I could just play when I felt like I could do it or else just drive the golf cart. I also love to hike--haven't done that in almost a year. I do make sure I walk though and I have a Sheltie that keeps me motivated to do that. I take her with me. Margaret, its so nice to meet you! I look forward to hearing more from you. Gentle hugs, Donna
