Guest guest
I use iridology and I love it - to me, practicing without it would almost be like working blind-folded. I would not use it without taking a full history in addition, but it is so helpful in knowing where to focus treatment for each patient eg if it is someone with eczema, it shows if the kidneys are weak or if it's the liver that needs support, if there's poor digestion, etc. Just knowing the constitutions can be a great help. As to the debate over iris signs changing, I don't think most of them do - they show the constitution we were born with. Lacunae are the basis of irides being used as a more accurate identification system than fingerprints, and they apparently do not change over a person's life time, in contradiction to what some of us were taught regarding healing lines etc. Colours and other signs do change - the sodium cholesterol ring appears as people get older, the B3 bulge disappears once someone is absorbing enough B vitamins, etc. I think brown colours showing toxicity can clear with cleansing, but they often don't if it was an inherited predisposition - it doesn't mean the toxicity is still there if the colour doesn't change. I use tongue diagnosis for a gauge of what is happening in the body right now, and iridology as the background picture. I think Adam 's book is the best and most accessible introductory book, particularly for constitutions, but a good teacher is important.
