...Or an overload on enzymes, probiotics, and other real good stuff. Hi , sorry to hear you did feel yuck after drinking kombucha. My husband felt the same way too, so we started him slow on it - kind of like a supplement, alternative treatment. Kombucha is packed with loads of good stuff which could cause the body to over react (in my opinion) especially if your digestive system hasn't been able to absorb properly. Thereis a chance of alcohol in kombuha, due to fermentation, but it is minimal but maybe more of a reason to start slow on it. My hubbie is up to a glass in the morning now and it gives him a good boost, no more nausea. He feels it is something that he wants to keep a s a breakfast item and will just stick to his one glass in the morning. By the by, he really likes the taste of it now.

Have a happy day, Bianca

I tried it for the first time today. Made me feel like I drank that much alcohol! I feel asleep in the office and feel sickish now. Yuck. I thought this stuff is supposed to be healthy? Mushroom allergies or something?

Thanks, that gave me a laugh! " the breakthrough we've all been waiting for! " .

Sounds so bizarre when you put it that way. Haha.

the yeast in the kombucha.  A friend of mine, who has lyme, just tried

kombucha for the first time a few weeks ago and felt terrible.  She said she

felt drunk and really hung over at the same time.  She had her allergist test

it and he said many people are allergic to it.  But like Bianca mentioned, it

can cause some detoxing too so you would want to figure out which one it is for

you.  I was brewing it for a while when my brother came to town, he'd never

tried it.  I think he drank three bottles in one weekend and it made him feel

dogged down and gave him bad dreams.  Now he can drink it just fine, he just

needed to clear a few toxins out first.
