RE: washing grains

All of my friends from India wash all grains (rice, wheat, millet, etc.) and

legumes before they cook with them. Partly because of things like pebbles

and the like. I don't know what they do before they grind them. I have

certainly found pebbles in my wheat (but it's much more likely for legumes,

given how the plants grow. That is, low to the ground).
