Guest guest
Dear Rogene, Thank you so very much for all your information I can't thank you enough! It feels so good I know it's crazy to hear everyone because I FINALLY know what has been going on with me, recently I just feel like I am in the deepest darkest hole ever and the Doctors just give me blood tests and send me for x rays, everything always negative......... and the UTIs I was getting very frustrated with since the Doctors always look at me like they have no clue, I Hate that! The depression is horrifying! I PRAY this all lifts with explants. One more question, I had them put in under the armpits behind the chest wall, I guess that is how they take them out? OUCH!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks Rogene
Guest guest
, You're not crazy, nor are you imagining your symptoms .. . . IMHO, It's the doctors who are imagining things! If you weren't depressed with everything going on, you would be abnormal. You can expect some of your depression to lift as you understand what's been happening with your body. Nothing is worse than to know one is ill and not be able to find out why, and to have doctors treat you so rudely! As you treat for systemic fungal infections (Candida), you will begin feeling even better, even without your implants removed. But, the source of you illness is your implants, and until you get them out, you will just be treading water. There are two incisions doctors usually make to remove implants if a mastopexy is done . . one is called the anchor (around the nipple and straight down, then a curved incision in the fold of the breast. The other is called a lolipop. This is around the nipple and straight down. This is the preferred incision, but not all doctors use it. Of course, it depends on what the doctor has to work with. I've never heard of an explant through the armpit. Recovery is usually much easier that implanting. Most women start feeling better immediately. Still healing will take about a month. Some women go back to work in as little as a week, if lifting is not required. All in all, it's nothing to be afraid of if you have a good doctor. You want a doctor who will remove your implants " en bloc " . . ,. that means remove the capsule with the implant still in it. And, you want a surgeon who will use drains to get rid of any fluid that may accumulate. Neglecting to do either risks additonal surgery. We have a number of doctors recommended that you can access by clicking on the first link below. I hope this answers some of your questions and relieves some of your anxiety!
