Is it work? Mark Mark, I was on ddi, d4T and Crixivan. I traded out D4T for Ziagen, and Crixivan for Viread and ddi for 3TC (over a period of a year) and have now been on the Ziag/Vir/3TC for about 2 years. Perhaps for some it works, but it did not for me. The left side of my face has atrophied now to the point that it is noticeable to me (and anyone I point it out to). It does not stand out because I had gotten my face repaired and everyone just marvels at that! There is no one who can answer anything about any of this definitively. It is just anyone's best guess. How about throwing in the length of time of the offending drugs on top of our bodies own metabolism. Wouldn't our diet play a part, and the old standby of our age and disease life? I might add that on top of making these medication switches, I am also doing my meds 7 days on and 7 days off which would cut down any causation from drugs by 50%. Thank god i can go get more fill to cover this new atrophy!
