ABBREVS SPA>ENG ICU, SIP, RAM, RCP

Dear all,

I'd appreciate any assistance with the following four abbreviations,

which occur in a Spanish hospital discharge report:

- ICU (presumably not the obvious expansion!) and SIP: These occur in

a text box at the top of the document containing the patient's name,

date of birth, record number, date of admission, etc. The entries are:

Apellidos: - No. Historia: (6 digits)

- *ICU*: (9 digits)

Nombre: - *S.I.P. " : (7 digits)

F. Nacimento:

Ingreso: [etc.]

- RAM:

Antecedentes

No *RAM* conocidas. No DM. HTA, hipercolesterolemia, [etc.]

- RCP:

Exploración clínica

.... no alteración de la sensibilidad superficial. *RCP*: flexor bilateral

Física: normal.

I have difficulties only with the four abbreviations marked - the

other text is provided for context only.

Any assistance appreciated, as always.

Hi ,

The only one I can help with is RAM = Reacciones adversas a medicacion.

I think it is ARM in english butI am not sure.

RAM (= reacciones adversas a medicamentos) - drug allergies

RCP (= RCP: Reflejo cutáneo plantar) - (cutaneous) plantar reflex

Haven't come across the other two.

I'm used to ADR = adverse drug reaction, but didn't

make the immediate connection yesterday - thanks for

pointing me in the right direction!
