Guest guest
Dear " Those it Concerns " , I have been speaking to several herbalists more local to me (Beccles, Suffolk), regarding the East Anglian meetings. For me personally the usual Friday meetings fall on what is possibly the worst day of the week clinic wise, and due to the wide area East Anglia covers travel to and from meetings often takes up a considerable time. Now there are more of us in East Anglia it makes sense to make the meetings more local ie split the area into smaller groups. For my area a Norfolk/Suffolk practitioners group seems the most sensible- this should make travel time less of a problem, and allow more flexibility regarding choice of days on which to meet. Obviously anyone can still attend a meeting- with more meetings going on in East Anglia there will be a more rather than less of a choice for any practitioner about where and when to attend. Can those practitioners in Norfolk and |Suffolk contact me off-list (tim.lane@...) and once I have a list of names we can organise some dates- these can be posted on the uk herbal list for all in the East Anglian region to see. Regards, Tim Lane.
Guest guest
Hi Tim > Dear " Those it Concerns " , Couple of points: 1. when myself and Alison Davies restarted the local meetings it was decided (by us, no democracy involved) to cover the Eastern Region so that Herts and Beds were included, which seems to suit most people. 2. the last meeting was held in Norfolk, at Jilley's house, and the turnout was the worst so far. To avoid embarrassment I'll not say how many people turned up, but if I was to count them on my fingers and point them at you you'd think I was being rude! 3. originally it was intended to vary both the venue and the day, but it seemed that Friday mornings was the most convenient for the majority of people. Having said that we have thought about trying an evening meeting somewhere fairly central. Unfortunately we seem to have got out of sync with the publication of Herbal Thymes (or Herbal Thymes has got out of sync with us) so notification has been a bit of a problem the last couple of meetings. > I have been speaking to several herbalists more local to me (Beccles, Suffolk), regarding the East Anglian meetings. So shall we stick to Cambs/Herts/Beds for our meetings? Which ones should the people in Essex go to? Remember to put a notice in Herbal Thymes 'cos only about one third of the NIMH membership is on this list. > Regards, > Tim Lane. Cheers Graham White B.Sc. (Herb. Med.), MNIMH.
