Guest guest
Hi Kurt, How's my favorite number 1 caregiver doing? Is your wife take nueratin ( spelling?) or lyrica?? Stopping some meds can be dangerous & cause all sorts of weird side effects. She should get back on them ASAP. Tremors or flapping of the hands is a sign of encephalopathy too. Some ER's will answer questions if you want to call them. They might have better answers then little ol' me. :-) Good luck, sir, you're a wonderful man & I'll keep you both in my prayers, tilly Subject: A question for the experts. To: livercirrhosissupport Date: Sunday, September 14, 2008, 6:54 AM Hello to everyone, I have a question in two parts for the experts here. My wife is out of town visiting our son in the state of the next VP of the United States Alaska(I will stop my political comments now), so what I am hearing is second hand, her to me. She called me and ask if I had heard about hand tremors and tingling (like needles) in the arm area. She is already taking meds for tingling in her legs, but had not taken it in several days. If she is taking meds for her legs, should this take care of the tremors and tingling in her arms. Thanks Kurt
Guest guest
Hi , thanks for the quick response. She is or is suppose to take Lyrica. Not being here I can't bug her to take the meds, and she knows better. She did say she would start taking them like she is suppose to. Now me ,I am, actually bored without her home. I couldn't go because of cost(son paid her way), and work, but doing ok otherwise. I do get more done around the house without her here, as my honey-do's have really backed up. Guest guest
Well honey, ya better get on that " honey do list " < smiling at ya> I'm glad your bored, you could probly use some rest too. Remember to take care of YOU too. Would your son be willing to watch her meds for her? I'm on lyrica myself 150mgs 2xs a day. I know you can have SEIZURES if you forget to take it. I'd guesse, just a guesse, that that's why she's feeling the way she is. I hope she feels better when she restarts lyrica, I know it's not the funnest med, but it does help. Keep in touch hun. God bless ya Kurt, From: Kurt <sgttutt2001@ yahoo.com> Subject: A question for the experts. Guest guest
I am by no means an expert, but I would think that the meds for tingling in her legs would also work for the tingling in her arms. However, the hand shaking may be a different thing altogether. Is it a trembling or shaking much like a flapping about? Hand flapping is a common symtom of encephalopathy. As far as I am aware, there isn't a lot you can do for the flapping other than take the lactulose. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. BTW, I'm with you regarding out next VP!!!! Hugs...........
