Guest guest
Hi!People say that about Wellbutrin. And ropinirole, and cabergoline, and yohimbine, and huperzine and others. This is a extremelly complex problem. The use of psychotropic drugs originates epigenetic changes ( genetic activation ) and these genes are yet to be identified. And being this problem rare or not very known, it's not very likely that there will be much research for a cure.Pssd is the result of poisoning. It's a long term poisoning effect. Very likely to be irreversible. This is the ugly truth. Visit pssd.forumotion.com. There is a lot of amateur axperiments on many drugs there, specially from Sonny the administratorGood luck to you all. To: SSRIsex Sent: Sunday, August 19, 2012 1:50 PM Subject: Over a year and nothing changed I'm a female, 23 years old, over a year (Its been so long, I just stopped counting the time) ago I quit using cipralex and bromazepam (I used that combination of meds for little less than a year) successfully. I didn't quit cold turkey, I did it the proper way. I was feeling incredibly better and was looking forward to my meds free life. I had the sexual side effects while being on meds too, so I was happy to quit thinking that my sexual functions will be back to normal. Well... Nothing changed. Before the medications my 'sexual functions' were normal, now it takes a lot of effort for me to achieve orgasm, I get completely no feeling of a sexual touch and generally touch to my genitals just feels irritating, I've lost attraction towards people, I feel pretty much asexual now. Also I've talked with psychiatrist about this, the one that prescribed me meds. He told me that meds should be long gone out of my system and its just psychological. I never had any psychological sexual problems. I just don't know what to do anymore. I tried lots of natural supplements. Vitamins, fish oil, maca, ginko biloba, essential oils, well pretty much everything possible. I don't know what to try next. I read online that Wellbutrin helps some people get their 'sexual functions' back. Tho I never tried it, I am afraid of using another medication that could just make things worse. Any advices? Thanks for reading!
Guest guest
I take generic Wellbutrin called Bupropion and it's not the second coming of Viagra. 150mgs really does nothing for my sexual function. 300mg might help slightly, but it makes me feel wired and speedy and the SLIGHT (trust me its slight) increase in sexuality is not worth the speedy side effects to me, so I am tapering off right now down to 75mgs a day starting tomorrow. Guest guest
Hang in there, and please don't try Wellbutrin! I was on it for approximately 8 weeks and the only thing I got from it is a permanent clicking in my jaw and tinnitus (ringing in my ears). This was over 5 years ago and neither have gone away. Keep the hope up. PSSD is beginning to get recognized--Prozac now lists it as a potential side-effect on it's insert, theories are unfolding, and research is on the horizon. > > I'm a female, 23 years old, over a year (Its been so long, I just stopped counting the time) ago I quit using cipralex and bromazepam (I used that combination of meds for little less than a year) successfully.
