Guest guest
Hi Rogene, I can totally understand your hesitance and I too, pray and believe that Dr. Leu will help Jen. One point I would like to make is that he is and has treated other women with breast-implant related illnesses, Jen is not his first. I just put a phone call into his office to see how the other women he is treating are doing. I know it’s not ethical for him to discuss other patients with me but perhaps he or his secretary will tell me if they have improved or what types of problems he was treating. Because I have treated with him for so long and because symptoms I have had in the past mirror implant symptoms a lot of you complain about, I feel confident that he can help most women here. It doesn’t matter to me whether someone chooses him or another doctor, I only wish health for all women here. Kenda , Just a word of caution . . . so far none of the implant women here have been treated by Dr. Leu. Several are in the process of beginning treatment. Kenda has been his patient for years and believes in him. She recommended him, and that's why women are contacting him. As a group, we've found that naturopaths are better at treating our problems, but finding a good naturopath can be difficult. You can spend a fortune on one before realizing their treatment isn't helping. The jury is still out on Dr. Leu. We're all praying he will have the answers for our women. I'm sure that, if he can help our ladies, he's going to be a very busy man! Hugs, Rogene Opinions expressed are NOT meant to take the place of advice given by licensed health care professionals. Guest guest
Hi Cherie, It does take a while to get started but I promise you he will get you pointed in the right direction. There were a couple of other women that used to be on this list that treated with him last year with great results, I wish they were still here to reassure you. Neither were local women and did all of their work with him via telephone and mail. My story is that I joined this list one year ago because I was about to be implanted. I had a surgery date set a few weeks away but a voice in the back of my head kept saying there was more to the story than " implants are safe " . I had been very sick in the past and wasn't willing to risk my health for more youthful breasts. Several years ago, I had fibromyalgia, liver congestion, terrible allergies, IB, chronic fatigue and IC. There are probably other things that I don't even remember any longer. I was taking handfuls of prescription drugs to function and literally felt like I was dying. I even had an HIV test, even though I had been married for many years and neither of us fit any of the HIV risk profiles. I just knew there had to be another way of getting it because I was so sick and nothing explained why. I had a year old baby and I knew I was dying. I was exhausted all of the time just caring for him. Thank God I didn't have a job at the same time. I had tons of lab work, like most of you here, just to hear that I was fine or see a shrink. I had a positive ANA test yet tested negative for lupus. MDs got me nowhere. I first treated with an ND who believed that one should gently supplement the body so it can function at his best and then get off the supplements so the body works on its own. Sounded like a good goal yet the program didn't work for me. I needed something more aggressive and a doctor who believed I had the ability to get well. Fortunately for me, she moved back to Oregon and I began treating with Dr. Leu who joined the office she worked at about a year after she did. He has worked miracles for me, literally. I went from being somewhat healthy some of the time to being vibrant and active all of the time. He is brilliant and has such insight into how the human body works. He has even been asked to work with Xymogen supplement company to be on their board of directors to assist in supplement compounding. He also does seminars, I believe the last one was for Xymogen and was regarding breast cancer. His specialties are in hormones and cancer. I just saw him today for a hormone panel and a Neuro-regulatory panel. My short-term memory has been pretty bad. I'm studying natural health and it has been pretty scary because I read things and don't retain them. I have also felt like I was zooming at the same time. I also have no sex drive whatsoever. He ordered the two labs which clearly showed the reason, I am extremely high in Serotonin because Serotonin isn't being properly utilized in its pathway. He adjusted one supplement and added an amino that is used in the Serotonin pathway. In a few days my memory should be great and sex drive returned! The sex drive issue is the same as those on anti-depressants. These are little things that we as patients get scared about and wonder what could be so terribly wrong that I have memory loss at age 45! It's a simple hormone problem that is easily corrected. MD's would prescribe some sort of drug instead of look to the cause. My female hormones are perfect for the first time in many moons. If you choose to treat with Dr. Leu, I don't think you'll be sorry that you did. One of the best things about him is that he loves a challenge. He was just telling me today how complicated I am --- and that he loves it! He doesn't run from a a challenge, he digs deeper into it to help his patient. He spends hours each day researching for all of his patients, yet we don't pay for this time. It's nice for me to have a doctor who enjoys my complicity instead of complaining about it, like everyone before him. Let me know if you have any other questions.
