Guest guest
Hi Jen, I got this and your other email regarding the Organix test. I’ll respond to these a bit later. I have to dig it out of my file. Kenda will the Organix test show what's up w/my immune system? I can't remember what all Dr Leu said it showed. I sent it off today along with my thyroid T3 test. I'm so excited to know the results! Jen Opinions expressed are NOT meant to take the place of advice given by licensed health care professionals. Guest guest
Hi Jen, I have my Organix info in front of me. The test results booklet shows 47 different things the test looks for. I have listed the categories and subcategories. B-complex vitamin markers Vitamins B1, B3, B5, B2, B6, B12, folic acid, biotin and lipoic acid Antioxidant vitamin markers Vitamins C, E and Coenzyme Q10 Mineral markers Magnesium, iron and manganese and chromium and vanadium Amino Acid markers Carnitine, arginine, 5-hydroxytryptophan, glycine, N-Acetylcysteine or other sulfur containing amino acids Essential amino acid markers Environmental toxin exposure markers Intestinal microbial balance markers Probiotics and antibiotics In addition there is a listing of measured compound names, nutrient associations and metabolic pathways — all of which Dr. Leu will explain. My particular test showed that all of my B vitamins were nearly non-existent. Each B vitamin has it’s own function. For example, B6 is needed to utilize amino acids derived from dietary protein. Inadequate B6 is one factor that leads to increased concentrations of kynurenate and xantherenate in urine (how they test for it). My blood actually is similar to a vegetarian. If Dr. Leu didn’t know me, he would have assumed I didn’t eat protein — but I do! I was also low in chromium and vanadium, which are both used to help insulin act on cells to regulate blood sugar. Unless you have been on a very high low carb diet, which I have not been. I tend to be hypoglycemic if I don’t eat ever 2 hours, this is why. The most exiting thing was that Clostridia was found. It is an organism that causes traveler’s diarrhea and its byproduct creates other symptoms. I had been having gut problems but never diarrhea off and on for about 6 months. Dr. Leu treated it with herbal products but it didn’t improve. My gastro doc did a barium x-ray but found nothing and sent me on my way telling me I had IB! I knew I didn’t and told him but it didn’t matter. Dr. Leu knew I didn’t have IB but a stool culture was negative. Clostridia is difficult to test for. Because it is hard to treat, I had to take a prescription drug for 10 days but it is now gone!! When you receive your booklet, you’ll see how comprehensive the test is. The biggest surprise for me was the low B-vitamins because I took a lot. I have a lot of energy during the day but crash and burn in late afternoon and evening. The B vitamins are likely my cause. There were many other imbalances but to list them all would take forever and I wouldn’t know how to explain them because they are words I am not familiar with like formiminoglutamate and a-Keto-B-Methylvalerate. Dr. Leu will go over it with you so you will understand what it means, plus the booklet is helpful. I just realized we have a new scanner. I could try to scan the test and booklet and see if I can send it to you if you are interested. It might take my 16-year old son to figure out how to do it. Kenda Car will the Organix test show what's up w/my immune system? I can't remember what all Dr Leu said it showed. I sent it off today along with my thyroid T3 test. Guest guest
Oh thank you so much!!! I can't wait to find out my results, I'm home sick (again!) with Bronchitis, I went to the urgent care last night because I felt so awful, I called Dr Leu's office & told Theresa who is going to relay the message to him, I wanted to see if he had any other recemmadations for bronchitis & to make sure its okay to take the Zpak along with the supplements he just sent me. So they should be calling back shortly Jen --- In , Kenda Skaggs <kdskaggs@c...> wrote: > > Hi Jen, > > > > I have my Organix info in front of me. Guest guest
Was what he gave you by Metagenics Andrographis Plus? That's what he gave me for now, I guess until my results come back, but I've only taken 1 capsule of them because I'm not sure if its okay to mix that with the Zpak the other MD gave me last night for Bronchitis & Dr Leu hasn't called back yet, I'm sure probaly tomorrow. Guest guest
You can buy Adva Clear and other Metagenics products on the internet. I've purchased the products from this website called Making Ripples: (User ID is " make " , password is " ripples " : http://www.makeripples.com/Shop/brand/mg/ProductPageMet.asp? StockNum=ADVA126 This looks like a general vitamin supplement, with additional ingredients that support the liver. I think the prices are fairly good as well, but Kenda would know for sure! Thanks Kenda! Patty > > > Is Adva clear the same as Medi Clear by Thorne?
