Guest guest
Hi, One of us has experienced changes eith the use of alcohol; After treatment with requip, he experienced more libido and more feeling in his genitals. For up to 2 days after alcohol use. Waldinger explained that alcohol works on different neurotransmitting system. One is the glutamine system which is an activating system and is stimulated by alcohol. Hence this could be an explanation of the effect alcohol did have on him. But than again this does not hold for everyone, adverse effects can also happen. The only thing alcohol and the effect on pssd shows that, again, it involves different systems not working effectively. > > > > > > > > Dear all, > > > > > > > > Me and 2 other PSSD sufferors have close contact with Professor Waldinger in the Netherlands. > > > > > > > > Professor Waldinger is Psychiatrist and Neurologist and is specialized in sexuality. Guest guest
Hi all, Our posting has also landed on the german pssd site. It has caused some confusion, which i also would like to clearify here. One of the member stated that waldinger is only interested in prescribing all kinds of medicine. This is not the case entirely. Waldinger is a leading professor. In his career he met several people with pssd. For him there is no question pssd exists. For him however it is also a mystery what is the cause or cure. The current medical world is not able (yet) to answer this question. Having a contact as waldinger as a group is however valuable. He can act as a spokesman for our cause. But this also involves us being able to channel our effort in an external direction. How much time do all of spend sharing information internally? I have encountered numerous failing external attemps, encountering disbelieve and unwillingness. Pssd is not believed in general, or intentionally denied. But external communication is essential in finding a solution for our cause. It is only when the medical world starts acknowleding pssd, research can be done, cures can be found and people can be warned. I hope this is a helpfull addition. Anyone interested in providing information for an article, Or willing to contact waldinger, Please let us know. Guest guest
Hi both, Waldinger is not looking for medical solutions, before he has more knowledge on the biological causes of pssd. His objective would be to objectivy pssd by establishing an article with enough persons providing him information on the symptoms and causes ( type of medication, dosis) etc, In my last meeting with him, he told me he was going to think about a framework the upcoming months. Keep you posted! > > > > > > Dear all, > > > > > > Me and 2 other PSSD sufferors have close contact with Professor Waldinger in the Netherlands. > > > > > > Professor Waldinger is Psychiatrist and Neurologist and is specialized in sexuality. Guest guest
You can also tell Waldinger that Buspar has helped me a lot. Much more interest and desire and I am much happier in the mean time. > > > > > > > > Dear all, > > > > > > > > Me and 2 other PSSD sufferors have close contact with Professor Waldinger in the Netherlands. > > > > > >
Guest guest
The first time I went to Waldinger...I took them all with me... No need however; He already had them on his computer :-) But thanks for mentioning them! > > > > Dear all, > > > > Me and 2 other PSSD sufferors have close contact with Professor > Waldinger in the Netherlands. > > > > Professor Waldinger is Psychiatrist and Neurologist and is specialized > in sexuality.
