Joining the list, joining by email, subject headings

Hello everyone!

Just as we are getting started on the chronic_pain list, our host, ONElist

is in beta testing and is working to add features.

Right now, the only way to subscribe is to go to the ONElist.com site,

join, and select chronic_pain; or go to a special url they have set up for

us at http://www.onelist.com/subscribe.cgi/chronic_pain .

Sometime next week they expect to have the facility for me to manually add

the names of others who do not necessarily have web access to chronic.pain,

and the facility for people to join ( & leave) solely by e-mail.

I have a list of a number of people who requested to join by email, so we

should be able to include them next week.

There is also the ability for participants to select a 'digest only'

option, and we have a number of 'digest only subscribers. For their

benefit, I ask that we make our subject headings descriptive of our

contents, so the digest subscribers can tell when a post relates to their

interest. I'm not asking anybody to change anything about the subject line,

because so far everyone is doing fine!
