Guest guest
We have a family of friends closeby with a child suffering of ASD. We convinced them recently before the summer to start at least GFCF diet and some nutrients (Supernuthera and DMG). After a summer with good results (the child was getting the gut deflated, better stools and more continuous attention), now it looks like things are getting much worse. The bally is very big and tense, and the child is very weak, on the contrary of prior to the diet when he was normally going on the bike. They have recently undergone a comprehensive set of analyses at Great Smokies and got yesterday results back. It looks that the child has an impaired the Krebb Cycle with very high values of Acid Citric and derivatives, as well as the methilation sulfuration cycle, although they have found an extremely high value of pyrogluttamic which normally I understand should be low, for low gluthation. They report that recently the child is eating a lot of lemons and oranges. Some candida metabolites have been found in the stools. The child reports also a lot of mucus from the nose and in the throat. So far I have always seen that when things starts to get better with diet and nutrients, usually they continue in that direction. Has anybody ever reported similar response? Apart from the lemon and oranges to be avoided for the citric, any other clue? Thank you in advance. Stefano
