Guest guest
Greetings! Thanks to seeing the Am show on CNN yesterday I have now found this group. I have been doing research about saline implants on my own for years, but had never found links to support groups. I'd like to briefly tell you my story and ask a few questions. 11 years ago I had textured saline implants put in over the muscle. For 11 years I have been incredibly, and unexplainably ill. You have all heard the stories.... well I suffer from everything there is on the lists. Not one of the tens of doctors I have seen will believe me, they are downright rude to me. I have medicaid insurance and no money other than to put food on my table. Thanks to being ill for so long I am not able to work much or to earn enough for our family of 5. I am desperate to have these removed!! But before I go through the torture of surgery (and it is torture since I have medication sensitivities, FM, IC, and severe IBS) I want to find a doctor that will run the blood tests to prove that I have saline in my blood. So my questions for you on this group are; do you know of any doctors in Ohio that would be willing to examine me for this, and then after explant what is the recovery rate? I have been poisoned for 11 years and I know that I may never fully recover, probably wont, but will I at least feel better than I do now? And finally, is there a great doctor that I can go to in my financial situation that will help me to get these out? Thank you so much!! I believe there is no source of deception in the investigation of nature which can compare with a fixed belief that certain kinds of phenomena are impossible.-
Guest guest
, Welcome to the group . . . I'm glad you found us, but sorry to know another woman needs us. . . You won't be the last though. Unless you plan to take legal action, you really don't need to be tested. . . If you were to be tested, you would want to be tested for silicone antibodies, not for saline. Even then, your problem may stem from bacteria or fungus, not a reaction to silicone. Someone already posted Dr. Feng in Ohio. . . She would be as good a surgeon as you will find . . . and she should be able to confirm your health problems are implant related. As expensive as explant is, it's even more expensive to remain ill. Hopefully you'll find a way to get your implants out soon! Did you get your implants before, or after, you had your children? I've started a support group for the families of children affected by silicone implants. . .. .'s SiliconeKids. I hope your kids are OK! Hugs and prayers, Rogene
