Guest guest
Good question. If it's the same lab that reports some kids as having no metallothionein I would disregard the test. Many kids with difficulty handling oral or TD glutathione are doing fine with the TD-DMPS. Dr. JM TD-DMPS > > > > If our daughter can not tolerate glutathione should we not use TD-DMPS? Her glutathione levels were 3500 on the metallothionein test. We've tried oral glutathione with results such as extreme hyperactivity - almost a glazed over expression in her eyes. We're using everything now on the quintet except glutathione. Does anyone know why her glutathone levels are so high? I don't think the glutathione is being used properly by her body. Her copper levels were very high, too. > Shari > >
Guest guest
I don't believe this test. To really check zinc and copper levels, which should be done before starting TD-DMPS, you have to do separate blood tests for these, and get the copper down and the zinc up before starting. You cannot depend upon the RBC or whole blood elements for these levels, nor the hair test. Dr. JM TD-DMPS > > If our daughter can not tolerate glutathione should we not use TD-DMPS? Guest guest
I had the test initially taken in Kansas City with Dr. Shaw last year. We started the zinc and she was re-tested about 6 months later using Great Plains. The results showed the copper was elevated even more and the glutathione as well. We had her tested again at AR. Children's and were told that copper was no problem - although, I never saw that test. We had her tested again with Dr. Kucera - Colorado Springs - the results were sent to Dr. (I think Great Plains also did this test) showing glutathione levels high and copper high. I misstated her glutathione levels earlier - I thought it was 3500 - I looked again and it was 3355. I really want to try the TD-DMPS. Maybe I've had her tested at the wrong places. I just don't know. Shari TD-DMPS > > If our daughter can not tolerate glutathione should we not use TD-DMPS? Her glutathione levels were 3500 on the metallothionein test.
