Guest guest
Do you know what it means to be 'positive' for the test? Does that mean you have lung infection, i.e. micros infiltrated in lung react to this? I was offered test too and didn't do it since I don't have any symptoms in my lungs. I do poorly on a spirometer test but then I have never had strong lungs. I have always found it close to impossible to blow up a balloon. I think that is informal spirometer test. So if that mean a lung problem, then I have had it my entire life. I was also recommended a cat but didn't do that as I don't take xrays as a routine test if there are any other options. However since Dr Rae thought I could have lung inflamation and I trusted his judgement, I had cat last week of lungs and it said my lungs were okay...so I don't have lung problem. I just wish doctors would pay attention to patients. I have terrible throat irritation and eyes and I get tested for one of the few things g NOT bothering me. However I thought it reasonable finally since lung area is so often affected by mold. Still no throat culture ever done for my constantly irritated throat (2 years) and eye irritation, watering and blurry vision for as long, doctor just gives me a stronger Rx for glasses even though it's not just that I can't see close up, everything is blurry on many days but it affects ability to read the most, so hense the stronger Rx. That's what I like about Dr Marinkovich who stated in defense of investigating mold connection to patients symptoms, that he sees no reason to disbelieve patients or treat them as malingerers. The medical community apparently sees the public as seeking medical care they don't need. -- In , " shybasset " <shybasset@...> wrote: > > this administered by resiratory therapist ordered by Pul doc??? Guest guest
Angel, Does the test work without the chems? How did your turn out? > They CAN do the test without the chems, I kno, had it done. > >
Guest guest
Steve, I don't know about the IgE being a predictor of something going on in the lungs, it's meant for your whole system. Not one area specifically. According to the breakdown from a lab that we had used, " IgE postitive results are indicative of atopic allergy to that fungus. " " IgG - positive results are suggestive of a chronic exposure to that fungus or of prior desensitization.
