Carl,

I am not worthy, really. But for the purpose of this website, and weightloss...and for people that eat for emotional reasons...I want to add a book to Steve's book list - It's "She's Come UnDone" by Wally Lamb...and he came up with the name from the old song by The Guess Who I think....(only if you're a child of the 60's will you remember that song)It's a great book about a young girl/woman's journey. Any emotional eater would like this book and relate ... I think.

Good Luck, Jane. W

Re: large variety of foods is the best way to go

Well tomorrow is my official weigh and measure day....here is fingers crossed I do good....I managed to stay off the scale this week so I do not know what it says...they will weigh, measure and check my fat/muscle ratio....I have made it through 4 weeks of eating...cannot believe how much food I have had to put away! that is 2 weeks longer then I usually make it. and there has been a LOT of variety! some things I never tried before and , find I like...and some old favorites rediscovered (like quiche for breakfast!)

Laurie: I have a job... a temporary one. I work at a Hotel (email, reservations and a little public relations) and I'm quite fine there... But I work only 6 months a year, like most of people in this town (it's a touristic city and "lives" only from december to march). The rest of the year is really hard for us. When I was 18 I start designing and knitting hand made sweaters..... really beautiful ones... but here in Argentina hand made stuff are bad paid.... you can work hard for a week (12 hours a day maybe, or more, to finish a sweater) and you'll be able to gain only U$S16.... Now I have a little son (Willy... 18 months old) and I can not knit cause he needs most of my day hours..... I'm complaining.... but I have a little

nacionalism in my blood so I don't know if I would willing to move to other country.... I don`t know. Beth... you can adopt me from the distance..... although I won't be able to touch your horses nose!! (snout?) Carl... You're a little wrong..... I CAN change my husband!! And I'm really willing to change myself. I appreciate your thoughts and tips... really. ("Really" is my favorite english word... please send me a psychologist)... I don´t want to be negative, but I´m conscious of you can not make money from absolutely nothing. I have my own house and nothing left to sell. Now I have not my U$S10 either.... (yesterday I weasted them buying hair tincture, deodorant and hair removing wax... female secrets..... hahaha!!). Now I'm poor but a little more atractive lady....... I'm telling jokes... I laugh a lot... I'm glad I could

share my concerns with nice people as the one of this group. My economy maybe could improve a little.... no more than this.... Where am I spending my money? Not in food, obviously. If I have money to spend in food it would be easier to do some diet. But I eat badly. Yesterday I was thinking that economics have nothing to do with diet...... but it has!!! I must to be happy not having debts.... that´s all my consolation. Thanks, Carl.... I hope I'll have some good financial news to share with you, some day..... Saludos!! __________________________________________________Correo Yahoo!Espacio para todos tus mensajes, antivirus y antispam ¡gratis! ¡Abrí tu cuenta ya! - http://correo.yahoo.com.ar

Dear , If you can change your husband could you pass on your secret.

If I had had your secret I might have been able to change my wife. But that

is history. You might be able to provide the motivation for him to change

but it is very difficult to change another person if s/he doesn't want to

change. This reminds me of the shrink joke about how many psychiatrists

does it take to change a light bulb? Answer : One, but the light bulb has

to want to change. I'm glad you're not in debt but being broke really

sucks if you have the brains and ability to do something better. If you

have that many jokes, maybe you could be a stand up comedienne and teach the

wourld to laugh. I am registered with Comedy Central.com and there is

another site called Jokequeen.com which send out stories once a week. A

lady runs the site. (I always wondered why they called it jokequeen) Her

name is Collette Darden and some of the stories are priceless. There was

one story about some people called Megamorons, something like the Darwin

awards. In one story a guy walks in to a Circle K restaurant and puts $20

bill down on the counter and asks for change. The cashier promptly opens the

till and turns around to face a gun barrel in his face and the guy demands

all the cash in the till. Not wanting to get shot the cashier complies.

The guy walks away leaving the $20 bill on the counter with $15. Go Figure.

Thank you .......And now for the announcement: After 4 weeks of eating (and eating and eating!) I am officially down 8 pounds and 20 inches! Wahoo!

So now I have incentive to go another 4 weeks!

and somewhere in there, weather permitting, do my 82.9 mile backpack trip!

Sounds like an excellent plan, . Good luck. W.

Re: Re: large variety of foods is the best way to go

Carl:

I wasn't clear.... I can "change" my husband... for another one... change here is letting him to pick another one!!... lol

I love joking, but I think it would be better for me to work seriously in another kind of business...

Now I'm thinking about starting a very humble "hotel reservations agency" having my own web page and getting it very atractivly designed. Let's see.... I gotta think about the inicial investment and how to convince my mother to lend me the money......

If I'll have it, this group will be the first to be invited to visit it... (I'll serve dietetic food and drink)...

Saludos!!
