Guest guest
, Nice thought in your sig! (not the hot tub). The ASCII art you put in your sigs is neat. How do you do the over-strikes? Guest guest
Hi , Probably a good move, except for the wallet in the short run (the job, not the " reflexology " ). Guest guest
The ASCII art you put in your sigs is neat. How do you do the over-strikes? What is ASCII art? I'm not sure what you mean by overstikes either? On webtv all you do is hit alt and Y for ¥ and alt and O for ø etc. ºº ºº ºø¥øºø¥ºøºø¥øºø¥øºø¥øºø¥øºø¥øºø¥øº You are doing a hero's job. Guest guest
Just another miracle of modern science, I guess. ASCII art is what you are doing-- Taking ordinary type (ASCII) and designing with it. Ken At 04:48 PM 9/6/98 -0600, you wrote: >From: Andy24747@... Guest guest
Yes, but once you are placed you will be a better nurse because you will have a better understanding of pain. My one dentists assistant has fibro too and it made such a difference when I had the root canals done. she made sure I didn't suffer anymore than I had too. ºº ºº ºø¥øºø¥ºøºø¥øºø¥øºø¥øºø¥øºø¥øºø¥øº You are doing a hero's job. Guest guest
Hi & welcome! Congratulations on passing your boards & wading through all that stuff with your medical problems. The onset of my own disability was at the beginning of my career to, & I am sure it is plenty scary for you. From my background in health care, particularly mental health, I suggest you look as thoroughly as you can for a nursing position in community mental health. Most everyone functions at least some of the time as therapist in these settings, & there is virtually no physical demand (compared to hospital nursing). Another reasonable possibility would be HMOs, where the function is assist ting physician in exams, etc., with little physical demand other than long & hard work days. I'm sure lots of other possibilities will occur to you. There may even be more jobs in non-hospital areas than traditional hospital nursing, because of cut-backs & take-overs of hospitals by large for-profit companies. Good luck & keep us posted! Also, we are here to help you with the other stuff too. Ken At 11:01 PM 9/6/98 -0500, you wrote: > > >A. wrote: >> >> From: Andy24747@... Guest guest
I used to play keyboard in a cover band so I really do know how therapeutic it is. I miss it, but the RA won't let me play, or could I be on stage that long any more. Think I miss the singing more than anything because you could convey feelings so much easier. You gave me memories tonight. THank you!! So glad you keep doing what you love!!! I ran the band too , and think the stress was too much. It was a hassle alot of the time. Good luck...
