Hi and Happy Monday to everyone! My name is Joann and I am brand spankin new to this group and have already laughed and cried with the postings

Hi Joann

Welcome to the group. Good luck on reaching your goals.

One way to make the commitment stronger is to put it on paper.

State your goals

write out what you are willing to do to achieve them.

The more you believe

The more you achieve.

Blessings to you Joannjjsmth@... wrote: Welcome Joann....we have a great group and nearly everyone is positive.....we will all do great, no matter what...and when we slip we dust ourselves off and do it again! Take care. Oh by the way group,

my scale says after 3 1/2 weeks of eating and only one small slip (hey it was Tiramasu, can you blame me?!) I am down 9 pounds. I do my official weigh in for my one month on Fri...weigh and measure and all that....AND I am starting to feel some pulls in my abdomen when I exercise! Wahoo! i am excited! And even through the last weeks of tax season, I am staying on track, although my last meal is sometimes around 9 pm....lolol Jane

Hi Joann, Let every good day be a plus, and every bad day, forgive yourself instantly for and tell yourself that each good day is "money in the bank" toward your fitness goal. I have stopped weighing myself, instead record my intake and activity. Those can be real goals achieved on a daily or hourly basis. When you go by weight, numbers can be deceiving, and it will sometimes look on the scales like you are not making progress when you actually are. Measure by how you feel and how your clothes fit. May not be the best method for another, just what works for me. You are among friends here, and will discover what works for you. Welcome to the forum and how exciting to be going to England!!

Hi and Happy Monday to everyone! My name is Joann and I am brand spankin new to this group and have already laughed and cried with the postings i have read. Its a great place to sit back and really listen to others ,and how blessed i am to be apart of this group so Thank you all! I am a single mom in Missouri, feeling 20 and fit on the inside but the outside, is a grave reminder of how i allowed emotions to take over my life , i am an emotional eater, and for the past 15 yrs of my 38 yrs on this earth, everytime i was upset, mcdonalds had the answer ,for thirty minutes, and then i would be depressed over my running to food for comfort, a vicious cirlce. So this group is a huge inspiration for me, i am trying to lose some weight before my trip to england in June, i tell myself in my head, what i need to do, and it all sounds so good, until i wake up and say, gosh this bed feels so good, i dont need to walk right now,, so today is anew day, trying new things to change my health,

take care everyone! and remember, one moment at a time, !

Blessings to you all

, bless you for the email! I just decided to do some upper body toning excercises in the gym here at work, i tried the stationary bike but i think i have a torn something in my knee, i couldnt pedal forward, so i lifted weights. I am excited about my trip in june and want to have some accomplishements before boarding that plane for a long hall. I want so much to actually do things with my kids that are active, not stationary. I guess walking will have to do for me as far as my lower end that needs major overhaul! lol have a wonderful day!! and ill keep you informed on my progress and my trip!! Thanks for the info.

But a question, I am not familiar with what type foods have what.

Could you make a suggestion or two on what food(s) would have " high

quality lean protein " .

Thanks
