Guest guest
I am glad Dr. Schaller posted regarding priorities in sickness. I have been out of our toxic house for a little over 2 1/2 years and my brain still isn't totally back to " normal. " I have memory issues, sometimes serious ones, and other symptoms that periodically reappear. It's then that I know I must have spent time in an insidiously moldy environment. CSM is the only thing that works for me. When I read " Mold Warriors " I could not believe that someone had written a book which so precisely described the illnesses we had been fighting (with no help from the doctors we saw) for 4 1/2 years. Now to the point of this post--weight gain/appetite increase can definitely be caused by mold exposure as it can cause a rise in Leptin levels. If I recall it's the result of receptor damage in the brain. My husband is struggling with a serious weight problem as a result of exposure. Getting completely away from mold, which is easy to say but nearly impossible to do, and clearing toxins, are the first steps. After that there is a medication which can help with Leptin levels. Hope this helps. -
