Guest guest
Hi- I'm posting this for my friend Marvin . love as always kat Hi all The Texas Education Agency has scheduled a series of public meetings " to gather broad input regarding services across Texas for children with disabilities. . . . input will be used to help determine how Texas is performing in the provision of special education at a statewide level. " These meetings are as a result of the federal Office of Special Education Program's (OSEP's) monitoring of Texas' performance in implementing the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act. Locally, the meeting will take place in Fort Worth on Wednesday, June 13, 2001, 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., at the Region XI Education Service Center, 3001 North Freeway. If you wish to attend, you need to confirm your attendance at least a week in advance by completing an online RSVP at http://www.tea.state.tx.us/special.ed/cimp/valplan.html. You can also obtain further information about the format of the meeting at that website. An alternative way to confirm attendance or to obtain more information is to contact at the Region XI Service Center at . Isn't it interesting how little this is being advertised? Let's flood the meeting, forcing them to bring in extra chairs. Their agenda seems to indicate that we will be breaking up into small groups to discuss a list of questions. Husbands and wives could go so that we each wind up in different groups. Every group needs an irate parent in it – we don't want all of the irate parents in one group.
