Guest guest
Maree.. It is a purpose built event at Movie World. You get dinner and the show. And it will definately be there for quite a while. We built it as a permanent tourist show... but I honestly think it does cater to everyone. It was a bit like going to see the Man from Snowy River and the royal easter show all rolled into one. Great fun. Two teams... 500 people on each team, reds and yellows, depending on which side of the pavillion you sit on. You cheer for your team, and boo and hiss at the other side and clap and sing along. But I love those sorts of things, anything for a fun night out! I hope you had a great rest down the coast and that you have come home rejuvinated. I came home with a cold... too much booze I think! Mel >> Glad you had a good getaway. I have seen that spectacular advertised > so often when I was down the coast, the only time I really watch TV. > I was hoping it would be on in June when I get there but no such > luck..so.. is it coming to Sydney at all? Guest guest
Hiya Gorgeous! I am so glad that you went to the dietician today, I know that you didn't want to but I am glad that you are going to give it a go for 2 weeks, you are a VERY strong indivdual and I know that you can be good for 2 weeks (even though it sucks and you don't want to!) I have to be honest, you have made me re-evaulate my sitting, even though I may be looking better?? I have not lost any weight for a while (going on about 3 months now), I bring food up too much and I am eating ALL the wrong things, so today, like you I am starting a better eating pattern. I am going to go to the shops tomorrow, buy some youghurts, up and go's (as I really can't get ANYTHING down in the morning) and start eating better throughout the day. Honestly if anyone can understand what you are going through it is us here! I am sure that we are all still bad (I can only talk for myself here, but there would be people in the closet too!) and have things that aren't appropriate, yes some are lucky and loose the weight, most of whom started at a much larger weight than you and were much sicker, but they too get to the 100ish mark and stop loosing and have to do it hard too! To get to where I am now I had to be VERY strict with myself, I did find that when I finally stopped cheating the weight seemed to come off, also I stopped craving as much of the bad stuff. If you were to go back through the posts that we have hear (and I am talking way back to the beginning) you would find that I struggled to get the initial weight starting to move downwards, it wasn't until I gave myself the kick start in weight loss that it started to fall (and I mean be good about what I put in my mouth) once the cycle started I found that i could have a few of the things that I loved and didn't effect my weight loss as much. I have to admit that i am a slow looser, I am lucky to get off 2 kgs a month (that is on a good month, usually more like 1.5ish again if I am lucky) and again, I didn't get that off in the beginning. Give this a good effort, try not to cheat as you are only cheating yourself, then we can see where the problem is and try to go from there. I know that this is going to work for you, because I have struggled with it to, and finally it started working for me.... Sending you strength and love in the next 2 weeks. Luv Andi
Guest guest
Maree.. the worst human trait is egotism... and self promotion. It is something that I don't tolerate very well. I suppose it is lucky that my parents are also the same and very grounded, because they certainly are up there with the rich and famous. But, they are very down to earth and basic people with basic lifestyles. I think my sisters death 17 years ago made them even more realistic about the real world. They will go out of their way to stay as low key as possible. Anyway, your handbag and the tablecloth... accidental??? I wonder!!!! >> Yes, I have 'heard' of your father's name. I understand completely. I > used to work for my very wealthy brother, I managed one of his pubs > for him and did all his books etc. We used to go to all manner of > Police functions and Mayoral Balls, race and trotting meetings etc. > and I have never been so bored watching so many grown people grovel > and the other half strut themselves. It was an experience just > watching the insincerity and back slapping, I hated it and hated them. > The best night was when I was sitting at the table bored stupid > drinking huge amounts of this gorgeous German wine to numb my boredom > at a Mayoral Ball, when it was appropriate timing I was making my > leave and tipped the whole damded table up as the table cloth got > caught up in my handbag. Now that was fun and the only good part of > the night!! M.>

Guest guest
Do you take boarders or overnight guests???? Everything you talk about here re food sounds absolutley beautiful and the kind of food I love to eat but I am a lazy, woeful cook. Of course I can, I reared a family and worked in club kitchens as a second job for years, but I just am not creative nor damded interested in dirtying pots. I used to cook beaut things for Sam, he loved food and the fact he did inspired me, but living alone I just don't do it. Plain lazy. Gee that sounds good though, good, winter, Ozzie tucker. M.
