They also said in another article that this new drug is more effective

than Imitrex .

(Articles Migraine Drug follow).

Lyn, thank you for the information on the new drug, I have recently been

changed to the DHE nasal spray for migraines called Migranal. It is in the

same dosage I had for injections, but it is a faster and less invasive way to

use it. I have tried it twice in the last week and it worked GREAT, quickly

and easily. I developed an allergy to the Imitrex injections and oral pills

last year so they changed me to the DHE, it was not always so effective in the

injections because I waited too long to use it, (last minute failsafe). But

with the nasal spray, it is very easy, can carry the kit in my purse and use

it anywhere.

Thank you again, your friend, Cheryl :>)

Hi Lyn and Cheryl.....I take Depakote 500mg daily for headaches and it

works but when I don't take it I pay for it...the headaches. Its cheaper

for me then these other drugs. I have never heard of using a nasal spray

for headaches. Does it work well?

I take Depakote too, still get occassional migraines. Imitrex is now in

a nasal spray and works in 20 minutes. Sumitriptan is the generic name.

Tastes awful after you swallow, and can make your chest feel a little

tight, but thats all.
