Guest guest
Oh Elaine!!! Firstly I hope your trip was nice - do share. Secondly, you are not a failure. Sometimes I think that and quickly nip that thought, you have to! You are like me; you are starting again from behind, it sucks big time but hey I sing the Monte Python song in my head `Always look on the bright side of life' in particular my favourite line "life is full of shit, when you look at it, but remember that the last laugh is on you" – don't know why, but it makes me laugh and reminds me not to take life seriously, there is no point in doing that. You went thru a period with no proper 'band' no restriction and things were not functioning. You gained, that isn't nice but it is to be expected. When I had my band out and went to see Dr B the first time I was anticipating a grilling on the 10kg I had gained at that time. He was actually blasé about it - he told me it was what all his band removal patients had done. Not that I was happy about it mind you, but it demonstrated that there was a reason for the gaining. Now you have your new band, you are starting to get on track. Things are slow, but that isn't so bad - the goal is in sight and you will get there eventually. I am still up and down about what I am doing. Do I have enough restriction vs. reflux, back pain and possible slippage? Patience sweetie, as hard as it is - patience. Guest guest
Good to hear that Singapore was lovely for you, bonus on the upgrade. I would love to be upgraded sometime but I fear that I would never be able to return to cattle class for future flights! I am talking to a friend that is going to Hawaii later this year. Oh how I would love to be going back there... anyway my feet will return to ground soon. Nx
