Guest guest
Hi My cousin had this done about 12 months ago. She said it was painful for a day but that was it. She is so happy with her eyes, and they do look good. I am a bit like you, don't think I could handle a botched eye thing if it happened. The lips, well having seen plenty of lip tatts, I have to say they are never quite right once they have been there for a time, they seem to start to look `out of the line' somehow. Guest guest
Hi Elaine I think it was up around $150, so its good value. But you have to go somewhere reputable. I have heard that cheaper places will see you fade to green after a time and green eyeliner was never sexy and is not likely to ever be! Guest guest
I had mine done in Marrickville about 8 months ago - cost me $250 (top and bottom) and she gave local anesthetic. Told me I was the worst patient she had in 15 years, but she did a good job - I'm very happy with the result. I believe you can pay up to $1,000 in the city to get it done. Guest guest
Hi Nic & everyone, Thanks for answering the eyeliner query Nic- I had to go to the shops with our Rosie in tow for essentials (day off school, she's sick with a cold, and it's nice to have a day together). I really had no idea about prices anyway. Anyone know somewhere reputable that does the permanent makeup in the Inner West??? They do it a nail place at Ashfield Mall, but I dunno- my gut feeling says "stay away", esp. when it's such a permanent thing. Might have something to do with the sign having been done in fading texta on white cardboard. Not an encouraging indicator. I've also wanted to try those henna tattoos (not permanent) that Indian women get done on their hands for weddings- I love the intricacy of the patterns, and the lady at the post office (she had one done at a wedding recently) says it's a special treat for the wedding party- a bit of a pamper , because you have to keep your hands dry and not eat etc whilst the henna paste is doing its work. A nice way of getting out of the washing up, I say! All of this slow-cooker talk- I've climbed up on a chair and fished out mine- it's a few years old, a Breville Meal Maker, and has served me well. I'm making a canned tomato based chicken & "safe" veg curry, and am cooking the meat (lean chicken breast) in a metal sieve but in the bowl too, with all of the juices, so I can get my veg serve out then cut up the chicken & replace for Jon. It smells divine. I'm loving the current vibe around here folks, now that we've crossed the bridge into pink fluffy-land. It's so chatty and warm, and I feel great being part of it. How do you workers get to do this? When I'm at work, I get the guilts and am too busy to add a lot during the day. Hugs, (ashbury)
Guest guest
Hi Elaine, There is a lady down on the Nrthn Beaches who does this sort of tattooing. She does reconstructive tattooing as well for plastic surgeons, but started out as a makeup tattooist. I will find out her name and number and post when I do, she is a friend of mines mother.
