Guest guest
, Sounds like you have been through a lot of meds to find the right combination for your needs. I would encourage you to let your doctor know as soon as you encounter a side-effect, or a possible side-effect, that gives you concern or difficulty. Anything out of the ordinary in terms of physical or psychological symptoms should be of concern after taking a new med. For instance, if taking Indocin, a NSAID (anti-inflammatory), one of the possible side-effects is migraines. Doctors should inform patients of common side-effects, or ask your pharmacist for information when you pick up your prescription, or check out a PDR if you are familiar with reading one. The migraine reaction to Indocin might diminish or disappear by reducing doseage or it might require going on to an alternative medication to avoid the side-effect. Been there, done that. I use the TENS unit for my hands. It works wonders. Ray in Virginia
Guest guest
Thank you so much for your support and suggestions Ray. They were just what I needed. I'm in a phase where I'm not doing very well physically which in turn is getting me down emotionally. Some days I feel like I'm just being tortured. Physically, emotionally, Financially, socially. This disease has robbed me of so much. Thank God/Goddess for my little Angel, my 3 year old daughter she gives me hope and things to look forward to in the future. :-) http://www.globalserve.net/~clipper
Guest guest
, I have my own " inspiration " running around here...my son to be nine-year old daughter. We celebrated 18 years of marriage by having another child the same week nine years ago. We tell people we couldn't wait to have grandchildren, so we went ahead and had one ourselves. When I go into the post office, store, etc., people remark on what a lovely granddaughter I have. Then I have to tell them that she is my own daughter. It's a real laugh. My daughter gets a real kick out it, too. She made me a Father's Day Card yesterday and gave it to me. She drew pictures and wrote this message: F is for the fun times A is for the times you say I am your little angel. T if for the funny things you do. H is for the hours I swing and look up at your pretty flower garden. E for every hug you ever gave me. R is for helping learn to read when I was little. Daddy, I love you. Alanna. This summer we have our married son, pregnant wife, 7 year old daughter and 1 year old son here. They leave for graduate school in August just after the new baby is born. So I have lots of hugs and kisses this summer. Hang in there, . Concentrate on the joyful parts of life. I know how hard it is some days just to get up and do anything. I'm so glad to have the motivating factor of 4 children and almost 3 grandkids to keep me going.
