Guest guest
Hi Kathleen, Sorry to hear you too suffer with chronic pain. The pump I have implanted is made by medtronics. I will forward you their web page address following this note.(I have it in one of my notes from Maureen). My pump has Baclofen in it which is used to treat spasticity that I suffer from due to my spinal cord and brain injury. The pump is implanted in my abdomen (directly under the skin) then a cathather runs ubder my sin into my spinal canal. I know 2 people who have morphine in their pumps and are having great success. A neurosurgeon implants it then a neurologist manages it by filling it up and adjusting the dosage. When I go back to my doctor in August I'm going to ask about having morphine put in my pump too. As far as the spinal stimulator I hear there are different kinds. The one my doctor is putting in me will be a wire placed under my skin in my neck that has a nickle size battery attached to it. I'm still fimding more info on it and will forward it ASAP. What is the source of your Pain?......Pati ---KAKRAG@... wrote: > > > > Dear Patti, > > I too have had my life drastically change because of pain.
