Hi Aricka...I'm somewhat new to the group. I just joined about a week

ago. You sound like my friend robin that had the same as

you..endometriosis and she had gotten pregnant to...funny how things

happen. I sympathize for you cause of your pain. I live with pain daily

cause of I had 4 lower back surgeries. I have had lidocain

injections..like just last friday I did. My back feels good for a couple

months but I still have some pain so if you want to go through with it

its better then taking pain killers. I take elavil also for my nerve

pain damage do to my back. Elavil helps some and helps me sleep. Hope

you feel better soon.

Tammy

CH>Hi All,

CH>I am new to the group. My name is Aricka. I am 25 years old and a stay at

CH>mom

CH>of two little ones (Cassie is 5 and is 1).

CH>My story is a long one but I will try to keep it short.

CH>First I will tell you a little medical history, I was diagnosed with

CH>endometriosis

CH>when I was 14 years old. When I was 15 I had my first surgery, Laproscopy.

CH>lasered off most of the endometriosis at the time. Two weeks later my appen

CH>ruptured and they had to reopen me. The incision was from my belly button do

CH>which is an odd place to go for an appendix, but they thought that the previ

CH>surgery might have been the culprit. When I was 18, my endometriosis flared

CH>again

CH>and they did another Laproscopy. The doctor told me that I probably would n

CH>be

CH>able to have children. When I was 20 I had my daughter Cassie (miracle baby

CH>and

CH>then when she was three, we decided to try for another one. I got pregnant

CH>automatically, but was on full bedrest from day one. It was a really rough

CH>pregnancy. They induced labor two weeks early because of his size (they

CH>estimated a

CH>little over 9lbs) because if they waited till full term, he could have been

CH>lb.

CH>and I wanted to deliver vaginally. He was 10 pounds. Big boy (miracle baby

CH>#2). I

CH>was having a lot of problems after the birth so when he was six weeks old th

CH>went

CH>in and did an endometrial ablation (kills the inside of the uterus so you wo

CH>bleed

CH>anymore, it is an alternative to hysterectomy) but had major problems and ha

CH>abort the procedure half way through. They doctor did however laser off the

CH>endometriosis and said that he did not know how I ever got pregnant. So fou

CH>weeks

CH>later they removed my uterus. They went in through the previous incision (b

CH>button down) and them four weeks after that they had to reopen me to remove

CH>ovaries (again through the same incision). There was nothing left inside an

CH>was

CH>still having pain that would leave me doubled over on the floor. The OBGYN

CH>didn't

CH>know what to do so he sent me to a pain specialist who diagnosed me with ner

CH>damage around the incision and inside where they had repeatedly lasered off

CH>endometriosis. Then the pain started traveling down my legs and into my fee

CH>so he

CH>started running tons of x-rays and blood tests. He told me that he was afra

CH>that

CH>I may have MD (Muscular Dystrophy). But thank God I didn't, but he did diag

CH>me

CH>with FMS/MPS. He is kind of wishy-washy on it thought. He wants to make hims

CH>beleive that it could be something else. Whatever! I am starting to think t

CH>MD

CH>would have been better.

CH>No I must say that he has done a great job on pain reduction. I now am at 4

CH>pain

CH>releive.

CH>My biggest complaint still is the pain. It starts in my abdominal and goes

CH>around

CH>to my back. I take Elavil for that. I also have pain that runs down the fro

CH>of my

CH>legs in my front thighs, around my knees and into my feet. I take Nuerontin

CH>that. My knees aches constantly. I take Trisilate for that. A lot of my pa

CH>is

CH>from the nerve damage. I have nerve pain in my thighs. The skin on my thig

CH>stings to the touch.

CH>I am lucky (as far as I have read) because my pain specialist believes in FM

CH>and

CH>treating it into remission.

CH>The latest thing that seems to be working is Lidocaine Infusions. Have any

CH>you

CH>heard of those?

CH>Well, I appologize for this being so long. I am thankful for this group!
