Now, S.C., let's lay back and let the young hot-heads take over. Our job is

to enjoy the sunsets and sunrises while we can. I hope to have a ranch house

some day with a porch on each side. In the morning I'll sit on the one

facing the rising sun, drink two mugs of my favorite coffee, say my prayers,

then go do a few chores. In the evening I'll go sit on the other porch, have

two Glenlivets, say my prayers, and go watch a movie. Prescription for an

easy last stand to a busy life.

Yeah, I miss Gwynne (?), Gwen (?), or both of them. I get people mixed up.

Speaking of......... I finished Romanyshyn's, The Soul in Grief. Some great

ruminating there, but after a whole book, it starts to sound like whining. I

take it that the book is his emptying his soul and so is a very personal

expression. But after a hundred pages I want out of the funeral home.

Next week is my lecture at East Texas State University. That's not really

its name, but I refuse to call it Texas A & M University at Commerce. Topic:

" Why C. G. Jung Will Never Be a Part of a University Curriculum. " I hope

to get my thumb in some people's eyes with that one, namely those who work in

the psychology department.

Last Sunday I talked to the adult class about Psalm 122. I see this as an

outward expression of the archetype of wholeness (namely, Jerusalem with its

walls and gates, and this psalm is a procession to the Temple). Jerusalem as

the sacred city, as the center of the world, representing the center of the

psyche. Unity is also a theme, as over against disintegration when the

center is lost. Check it out.

" Peace be within your walls and quietness within your towers " , S. C. and

others.
