Some great ruminating there, but after a whole book, it starts to sound like whining. I take it that the book is his emptying his soul and so is a very personal expression. But after a hundred pages I want out of the funeral home. Next week is my lecture at East Texas State University. That's not really its name, but I refuse to call it Texas A & M University at Commerce. Topic: " Why C. G. Jung Will Never Be a Part of a University Curriculum. " I hope to get my thumb in some people's eyes with that one, namely those who work in the psychology department. Last Sunday I talked to the adult class about Psalm 122. I see this as an outward expression of the archetype of wholeness (namely, Jerusalem with its walls and gates, and this psalm is a procession to the Temple). Jerusalem as the sacred city, as the center of the world, representing the center of the psyche. Unity is also a theme, as over against disintegration when the center is lost. Check it out.
