Dear Gene - Your words to Judy struck a deep chord with me - " prayer and

synchronicity may be expressions of the same psychic energy " - what an

apt observation - and so helpful in eliminating unnecessary constraints

of thought -

I, too, want to pass on my prayers and wishes to Judy - there is

something numinous about her situation -

Dear Judy,

So much support, wisdom, and understanding for you here at the Fireside.

What's been posted here will help others, too.

I will put your name on our prayer list at the little congregation I serve,

and I will remember you in my own prayers as well.

Prayer, by the way, is a topic I'm taking up in my Wednesday night homilies

during Lent. Those Wednesday Eucharists include annointing for the sick.

The words I use include, " ...that all your pain and sickness of body, mind,

or spirit being put to flight, the blessing of wholeness may be restored to

you. " Find a congregation somewhere where this rite is performed; it doesn't

matter whether or not you believe any doctrines or whether you believe in God

for there to be efficacy.

Prayer just like synchronicity operates outside the " space- time box "

(Kelsey) we live in. In fact prayer and synchronicity may be expressions of

the same psychic energy. Notice that prayer is for " wholeness " which may or

may not mean a physical cure. (Of course, pray for physical cure, because it

may be that our needed " wholeness " requires it).
