phone dsl cable, internet long distance, off topic

I have a question about internet usage. I am contemplating signing up

for Vonage instead of my local phone co. But I have dsl which is

$25/month and it seems for my local and unlimited long distance,

including $10 a month of international calling and my lifeline credit

my bill is only $67.41/month. So, I'm thinking Vonage is $25 a month

and that includes Canada calling (I can get a calling card to call

, etc) and then I'd have to get cable internet which will be $27

a month for 6 months (good deal) but $40 or so after........... so

I'll be in the same boat.

Anyone have any thoughts on it?

oh forgot to add, if I sign up for Vonage I will get a referral from a

friend so I get one month free and then I will convince to get

it and if she does I will get 2 months free and she will get one month

free so the first year will be my cost minus $75 unless I can convince

others to sign up too. What a business woman I am eh?
