Guest guest
Hi , Since our starband was already ordered at the time we changed our minds to go with the docband, we are going to use the star band until we get the doc band. That way if has a growth spurt in the next 3 weeks we will be able to capture some of it. We made a deal with the clinic that we would only have to pay half the fee if we discontinued treatment early. I feel that I made the right decision for 's best interest irrespective of the fact that this is going to cost a fortune. I have some new photos of at www.jacklavin.com/andrew We have also been aggressively positioning him on his sides to go to sleep and rotating him, in order to keep him off of his flat spot. I know he is a little old for this at 7 months but we want to do all we can. Let me know what you think. jack -----Original Message-----From: stripes6060 [mailto:taime@...]Sent: Tuesday, October 22, 2002 7:58 AMPlagiocephaly Subject: Jack, Sara and Hi Jack,How are things going with ? Guest guest
Jack, What a good idea! We all do what we feel is best for our child. I think it's great that your not going to lose 3 weeks. It's definitely good that the clinic will only charge you half. It is hard to reposition a 7 month old, but it is possible. The less time Jack is on the back of his head, the better. Is he in his STARband yet? If so, how is he adjusting? When are you getting the DOCband? I know what a financial strain this can be, as my insurance didn't cover any of 's DOCband. Hopefully your insurance company will come through for you. Are they willing to pay anything for either the STARband or the DOCband? Please keep us posted!! PS...Jack it too cute! What a face. :-) > Hi , > Since our starband was already ordered at the time we changed our minds to > go with the docband, we are going to use the star band until we get the doc > band. Guest guest
Jack: is not old at all to begin his treatment! He's only 7 mos of age, he's got many more growth spurts coming over the next several mos.. He'll get good correction still. So try not to worry about his age. Has been casted for the DOCband already? What made you change your mind to go w/the DOCband vs STARband? Just curious. Let us know how he does - happy rounding! Guest guest
Jack- sure is a cutie. You are really on top of taking pictures! I'm sure he will get a great fit in the DOC Band. It's kind of weird that there seems to be several parents with STARband issues at the same time. Sorry to hear about that. At least you were right on top of it. Hopefully you will see some correction in the next 3 weeks while you are waiting for the DOC. At least you will get half of your money back. That's the sunny side! Guest guest
Thanks for checking out 's pictures. It's not that we had issues with the star band. What made me change my mind from the star band to the doc band was the fact that I was able to see more documentation as to the effectiveness of the two. Maybe this is due to better marketing by CT but there is just not as many pictures or articles out there about the star band as opposed to the doc band. In the end that was my major influence. I have talked to a couple of moms who are getting good results from the star band and who knows, if we saw a major change for the better with in the next 3 weeks, me may just stick with the star band. Since he just received it yesterday that probably won't be the case though. I'll continue to keep everyone posted. Thanks for all the feedback jack sara andrew > > Hi , > > Since our starband was already ordered at the time we changed our > minds to > > go with the docband, we are going to use the star band until we > get the doc > > band. Guest guest
We got the doc band about a week ago. I am very happy with the fit so far. Sara is going to CT on Thursday to make sure the band is breaking in properly. I feel very comfortable with our decision to switch from the Starband to the Docband early in 's treatment. jack Jack, Sara and > > > > > > > > > Hi Jack, > > > How are things going with ?
