Guest guest
I am writing to see what anybody knows about liver. I know that Sally highly recomments eating liver (organic, of course), but my husband is totally turned off by that and says that that is the last thing you should eat since the liver filters the blood. He says if you eat liver, you also eat all the bad stuff it filters out too, so you shouldn't do it. I have no response for him. Does anyone know where all the bad stuff goes (I would think just out the body), and is there a chance eating liver could be bad? Thanks,
Guest guest
The liver is not a storage organ for toxins. But the liver does store fat-soluble vitamins, esp vitamin A. ALL the primitive peoples valued liver--for the Africans it was a sacred food. But don't force it if he doesn't want to eat it. Only 1 of my 4 children will eat liver. The rest get dessicated liver pills. Sally
Guest guest
Whenever I get beef or lamb from a farm, I always ask for the liver and we make a practice of eating liver once every 7-10 days. When I am traveling and doing a lot of speaking, with is very draining, I just crave liver and will even eat it in restaurants.
